This report is one of several policy briefs to be published in 2010 on the revolution in information technology and its implications for the future of libraries. It presents a summary of the literature devoted to the future state of public, academic, school, and other libraries in the face of this revolution. It addresses four key themes that emerged from the literature review： technology changes traditional information forms, digitization changes the landscape of information access and use, new information processes are changing libraries, library services, and librarians; the future is collaboration.
