In the 1980s, gold leasing, as an innovation product, was introduced into the financial market and it became a world-wide gold derivation tool quickly. Its successful application enhanced the fluidity and transparency of the world gold market greatly. And it makes the participants multi-winning. The paper introduces the status and effect of gold leasing in the world gold market. And some suggestions are proposed for gold leasing development in China.
