摘要
本文分析了公共图书馆遭到冷落的原因，认为图书馆的利用成本除了支付货币之外，还应包括查找，借阅书刊所需的时间以及所得到的满足程度等等，因此处于竞争时代的当前的公共图书馆必须降低阅读成本。
Abstract The article analyzes why the readers are not attracted to use public libraries in practice and thinks that it is necessary for meeting reguirements to consume some cost of utilization except for paying a sam of money.The cost of library utilization includes the time and expense of attendence,access time and user's satisfaction level or so.Therefore,the author points out that decreasing the cost of reading is the necessity of libraries in the competitive age.
