摘要
软件重用在降低软件开发成本、提高软件生产率以及提高软件可靠性方面有着巨大的潜力．在大多数程序设计语言中，严格的类型匹配是设计重用软件的最大障碍，重用应建立在抽象的数据类型之上．基于这一思想，文中介绍了元数据的概念和元数据的抽象方法，给出了基于元数据技术设计和实现的ＴＣＰ／ＩＰ通信软件程序．
Software reuse has the potential to reduce the cost, increase the productivity, and enhance the reliability. In most languages, rigid treatment of type matching presents a barrier to reuse. Software reuse should be able to work without knowing what the users data representation. Based on this point of view, the conception of metadata and the abstraction method of metadata are given in this paper, the reuse technique using metadata and the implementation of some reuse components under TCP/IP are presented.
