摘要
约翰.多恩是文艺复兴时期的著名诗人。他极具诗歌天赋,开创了"玄学派"。他的作品不同于当时流行的甜美诗体。他摒弃了过去人们在诗歌中所应用的传统的意象,其作品风格极具智慧,引人深思,善用引申的暗喻来对比极其不同的事物。本文即在约翰.多恩的诗歌特色方面进行了简单的分析。
John Donne is one of the well-known poets in the Renaissance period.He had a great talent for poetry and became the first man of the Metaphysical School.Since he abandoned traditional images preferred by traditional poets,his style varied a lot with that of the popular poems then.His verse is characterized by an intellectually challenging style and extended metaphors comparing very dissimilar things.
