摘要
宋朝时期,今四川阿坝藏族羌族自治州汶川县及附近地区的羌族称之为"威州蛮"和"茂州蛮"。为了加强对威州、茂州羌族的治理,宋朝在威州和茂州地区设置羁縻州,加强羁縻统治;树其酋长,使自镇抚;北宋中期以后还在威州和茂州羌族地区进行开拓。与此同时还设置砦堡和驻守义军土兵,加强军事控制。
In Song Dynasty, Qiang people living around Wenchuan were often called the ＂Weizhou wild＂ and ＂Maozhou wild＂. In order to strengthen the government over the Qiang people in Weizhou and Maozhou, Song Dynasty set up Jimi Prefecture in this area. Moreover, the governors helped the chiefs of Qiang tribes suppress and placate their people. In the late half of the Dynasty, the governors poineered in this area. And meanwhile, they fortified the place and stationed army there to strengthen their military control.
