Socializing the Nation States:A Comparison of the Impacts of Regional Integration on the National Systems in Southeast Asia and in Central-Eastern Europe

摘要一个国家内部政治制度与社会结构会深受区域一体化进程的影响,这一影响可称作跨国社会化。对中东欧国家而言,"欧洲化"是欧盟依靠其规则与价值观使其成员国社会化的方式;而东盟成员的社会化依赖的主要是"东盟方式"。简言之,就过程和方法而言,中东欧和在东南亚地区的社会化存在较大的差异,这反映了一个事实,即任何伴有跨国社会化的区域一体化都有它自己独特的哲学和现实根源,只有建立在这样基础上的一体化才可能取得成功。 Undoubtedly,the domestic political system and social structure of a nation state will be deeply affected by the regional integration, the process of which can be called transnational socialization. The Central-Eastern European (CEE) countries, either as the applicants to or candidates of the EU, have been undergoing a socialization process influenced by the EU’s norms and values, that is, the so-called 'Europeanization', while on the other hand, the socialization of the ASEAN members depends chiefly on an 'ASEAN way'. In sum, not only the process but also the means and ways of the socialization which happened in the CEE countries and in Southeast Asia are very different, which reflects that any regional integration accompanied by transnational socialization has its own typical philosophical and practical roots and that only with an integration founded on such a basis can success be achieved.
