根据大量资料统计说明：成都市随着经济发展，环境有恶化趋势，人口的迅速增加，建筑面积的扩大，导致人均公共绿化面积减少。从６０年代开始，市区雾日增多、日照百分率降低、连阴雨次数、洪涝发生次数逐渐增多，而且火灾发生次数逐年增多，市区重于效区。城市环境必须保持经济、社会与生态环境协调发展。
The statistical data show that the environment of City Chengdu is deteoriorating with its economic development:more foggy days,less sunshine,increasing flood,waterlogging and conflagration. And the average greenbelt is decreasing with the population increase.Hence the urban environment must develop together with its economic and social ecology.
