摘要
柳宗元提出"统合儒释"命题的理论依据是"儒佛同道",儒、佛二家学说之所以能够融汇、统合,即表现在:"中道"思维方式、心性论、生活规范与孝道伦理等三个方面的"同道"。但是,当深入分析以上三个所谓佛与"孔子同道"之内涵时,我们发现它们的理论内涵在本质上是"异质性"的。通过论述以上三个"同道"的具体内容,进而揭示出被学界普遍忽视的柳宗元"统合儒释"思想中儒佛思想的差异性与矛盾性。
This thesis attempts to inquire into Liu Zongyuan's integration of Confucianism and Buddhism. Liu Zongyuan holds that the two doctrines can be integrated because they are similar in three aspects: thinking mode; the theory of the mind; ethics and lifestyle. However, an incisive analysis of the socalled common features of the two doctrines reveals that their theoretical implications are different in nature. This paper focuses on an analysis of the differences and contradictions in the two doctrines which have been ignored in the previous studies.
