Traffic Modeling and Simulation in Low Earth Orbit Constellation System

摘要 低轨星座系统组网复杂,业务类型多且动态性强。为对系统业务进行分析和估计,首先构建其业务建模与仿真框架,其中业务模型分为业务源模型和网络模型,业务源模型采用分层触发方式实现对网内用户行为的精确描述,网络模型采用模块化方式以增强可扩展性。在此基础上,针对"天基+地基"模式的星座系统建设方案,对境外业务进行分析,基于业务模型设计仿真场景,通过仿真获得不同用户数下星际链路所需承载的业务量,较好地解决了卫星星际链路有效载荷的重量分配问题,为低轨星座系统的设计和性能评估提供参考。 The operation of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellation system is very complex and dynamic. In order to analyze and estimate the traffic in the system, a traffic modeling and simulation framework was proposed. The traffic model was composed of traffic source model and network model. The traffic source model was developed by layered approach to describe the user behavior and the network model was got by integrating different modules by a flexible way. Focused on the "space-based plus ground-based" LEO constellation system, the oversea traffic model was analyzed. Simulation was carried out to get the traffic load of the Inter/intra-orbit Satellite Link (ISL) separately which can be used to assign the weight between different ISL payloads. It can also be a good reference for the LEO system design and performance evaluation.
