摘要
随着大学英语教学改革的深入开展,英语专业教学也进入了一个重要的历史转型时期。然而,从社会对英语人才的使用需求变化以及理工院校英语专业课程设置的现状分析,理工院校的英语课程设置改革需要遵循目标性、有效性、适宜性等原则,以构建理工院校英语专业课程体系的框架。
Based on the analysis of English requirements for college students, and the status quo of the curriculum of English course in institutes of technology, the paper argues that the current curriculum of English course must be reformed by following certain principles such as specifying objectives and achieving effectiveness and appropriateness of the reform. The paper also presents a program concerning the reform of the curriculum of English course.
