摘要
用熔融插层方法制备了高抗冲聚苯乙烯/蒙脱土/氧化亚镍(HIPS/OMMT/NiO)复合材料,碳元素分析结果表明,NiO的添加有效地促进了聚合物的炭化,锥形量热仪结果表明,HIPS/OMMT/NiO复合材料的阻燃性能比HIPS/OMMT复合材料有显著提高,结合碳元素分析及燃烧残余炭层的扫描电镜图片探讨了其阻燃机理,并提出了纳米球形粒子填充蒙脱土三维网络结构孔洞的模型,对设计新型插层复合阻燃材料有重要的理论借鉴意义。
The flame retarded high impact polystyrene/organic montmorillonite/nickel oxide (HIPS/OMMT/ NiO)composites have been prepared by the melt intercalation method. The cone calorimeter study shows that the heat release rates of the HIPS/OMMT/NiO composites are dramatically reduced compared with the composites without NiO. The carbon elemental analysis shows that the char yields of the composites during burning increase significantly with NiO as char-promoters. The scanning electron micrographs indacate that the net-like structure of OMMT is filled with nano-scale round NiO particles, and it is the particular char structure that improves the flame retardent performance of polymer layered silicate nanocomposites.
