Objective: To investigate feasibility of application of coronary artery interventional therapy by radial artery in primary hospital. Methods: A total of 244 cases of hospitalized patients with coronary heart disease were randomly divided into intervention via the radial artery group (observation group, 103 case) and femoral artery interventional therapy group (control group, 141 cases). Observe and compare the surgical success rate, hospitalization stay, surgical operation time, amount of contrast agent, X-ray irradiation time and the incidence of complications. Results: There was no significant difference between the surgical success rate of the observation group (96, 93.25%)and that of the control group (139, 98.6%), however complication incidence of the observation group was lower (P〈0.05.), hospitalization stay and surgical operation time was shorter than that of the control group (P all〈0.05). There was no significant difference between the amounts of contrast agent and X-ray irradiation time (P〈0.05). Conclusion: With less pain, lower complication incidence and higher success rate, coronary artery interventional therapy by radial artery in primary hospital intervention via the radial artery is feasible to be applied in primary hospital.
