摘要
根据语用翻译理论,翻译就是译意图,原文作者的意图。关联理论指导下的翻译以交际意图传递为归宿,对其意图观的信息意图(形)和交际意图(意)组合搭配,可以推导出5种关联法来诠释和指导成语翻译,即译形传意关联法、存形释意关联法、去形译意关联法、形意兼用关联法以及借形融意关联法,并且用《英译中国现代散文选》的例子证明了该5种关联法的可行性。
According to pragmatic translation theory, translation is to translate intention that of the original author. Guided by the relevance theory, the ultimate aim of translation is to convey the communicative intention. Based on the study of the informative intention (form) and communicative intention (intention) carefully, five main relevance-based translation methods are proposed to explain and guide Chinese idiom translation: by using the target form of the same meaning to communicate intention; by using the target form of the same meaning with it explained as well to convey intention; by deleting the original form but translating the intention; by flexibly translating part of the idiom its form and part its intention;by borrowing the different target form with almost the same connotative meaning to convey the original intention. The feasibility of the five relevance-based methods is further proved by examples from Selected Modem Chinese Essays.
