摘要
英国十七世纪的玄学派诗歌与中国东晋时期的玄言诗不仅在名称上非常接近,在历史背景上亦有相似之处。但前者乱中求进,积极介入生活,十分注重诗歌形式,努力进行艺术创新;而后者则乱中求退,消极避世,严重脱离现实生活。前者"玄"在艺术手段,后者则"玄"在思想内容。二者的文学价值和历史地位也大相径庭,玄言诗的迅速湮灭和玄学派诗歌的后来居上,同样都为揭示诗歌与社会、哲学和宗教的辩证关系提供了有益的启示和借鉴。
English Metaphysics Poetry and Chinese Xuan Poetry are similar not only in the term of name but also background. However, the former takes the active part in the life and tries to innovate in the art with the emphasis of the poetry form while the latter escapes from the real life with the passive attitude. The essence of the former lies in the art means but the essence of the latter lies in the ideology. Both of them are greatly dissimilar in the literature value and the historical position. The immediate fading of Chinese Xuan Poetry and the later prosperity of English Metaphysics Poetry all provide the beneficial inspiration and reference for the dialectic relations of poetry and society as well as philosophy and religion.
