低调陈述是英语修辞的重要组成部分,反映了英语文化中的特有现象和魅力。从跨文化角度在类型、结构及修辞特色三方面对这种修辞手段进行了归纳总结,以帮助学习者提高阅读理解能力和文学欣赏能力。
Understatement,as an important part in English,reflect a special beauty and charm in English culture.The paper is a conclusive study of the figure of speech：understatement in the light of cross-cultural communication.It consists of three sections：categories,structures and its rhetoric methods,to improve the learner s ability of understanding and appreciation.
