摘要
According to literal records,the Zhongshan State was a small kingdom founded by a northern ethnic group of the Spring-and-Autumn period and was located in the central area of the present-day Hebei region.As the related documents are rare,the archaeological discoveries obtained from the Lingshou City-site at present-day Pingshan County of Hebei,the ruined capital of the late Zhongshan State,and the excavated Zhongshan Royal mausoleums became important material data to the study of this state.Based on the available material,the present paper makes a preliminary discussion on the features of Zhongshan tile-ends by comparison with the same sort of object from adjacent areas,the source of their decorative designs,and their use.
