摘要
1823年,作为幼童启蒙课本的基督教中文《三字经》问世。随着不断的修订出版,它逐渐成为面向普通民众宣教的宣传小册子,是19世纪种类诸多的宣教小册子中使用时间最长、出版次数最多的一种。1823年以后,基督教中文《三字经》产生两个发展分支,此外方言《三字经》版本也有所流传。麦都思《三字经》具有重要的历史地位。
The first Three Character Classic on Christianity in Chinese was published as an elementary book taught at Chinese school in 1823. It became a kind of missionary tract to educate common people and was revised continuously. This version of Three Character Classic was the most influential missionary tract of 19th century China. The paper discusses the evolution of different editions, the change of function and the position of Walter Henry Medhurst＇ s Three Character Classic.
