摘要
国内目前对华裔作家黄哲伦《蝴蝶君》的研究主要集中在运用后殖民主义、东方主义、解构主义等理论进行文本分析,而运用新历史主义理论对该戏剧进行研究的作品很少。本文通过新历史主义视角,运用颠覆与抑制概念,论述黄哲伦通过《蝴蝶君》颠覆了东西方权力关系,但是这种颠覆又是不完全的,通过对女性化的东方男性的塑造,黄哲伦迎合了西方对于东方的幻象,抑制了《蝴蝶君》对于东西方权力关系的颠覆。
The studies on David Henry Hwang' s M. Butterfly mainly center around the analyses by applying the theories of Postcolonialism, Orientalism and Deconstruction. The study by applying the theories of New Historicism is rarely seen. This paper, through the perspective of New .Historicism, applies the concepts of New Historicism: subversion and containment to analyze the subversion of the western and eastern power relations in the text. However, the subversion is not complete. Through the creation of a feminine Oriental man, David Henry Hwang caters to the illusions of the "Occidentals" to the "Orientals" and contains the subversion of the western and eastern power relations.
