摘要
美国当代著名作家约翰·厄普代克是一位有意识的表现宗教主题及宗教情怀的作家。他秉着他的宗教观，以神性的终极关怀与世俗的人文关怀两大信念为支撑，试图表现人类宗教的发展及前途，为人类找到信仰的旨归。其成名作“兔子四部曲”更是全方位地体现出厄普代克对当代美国宗教的思考和对人类命运的关注。
John Updike is a contemporary writer of America, who writes about religion subjects and expresses religion feelings consciously. Holding his religious principles, supported by the two beliefs-the divine ultimate solicitude and the secular humanistic solicitude, he tries to show the development and future of human beings＇ religion and to find out the end-result for human beings＇ belief. Tetralogy of Rabbit, as Updike＇s masterpiece, expresses the author＇s thinking and attention to the religion condition of contemporary America and to the destiny of humanity.
