摘要
本文在回顾和总结中国外语教学理论研究六十年取得的主要成就的基础上,简要勾勒我国外语教学理论研究发展的轨迹和主要特点,指出存在的主要问题,并对今后努力的方向进行展望。作者认为,中国的外语教学理论研究经历了建国初期的艰难起步、文革时期的停顿以及改革开放以来的引进、发展和创新几个重要历史时期。六十年来,外语教学理论研究论著和论文数量大幅增长、研究内容多元化、实证研究方法也呈上升趋势。但是,我国的外语教学理论研究还不能满足中国外语教学实践的需要,缺乏对中国重大外语教育政策的研究,缺乏对中国外语教学理论体系的构建。今后的研究应该加强宏观外语政策的研究,加强学习者的研究,加强教学过程,特别是需求分析、教学评估、教师发展等方面的研究。
This article briefly reviews and summarizes the major achievements as well as setbacks of FLT research in China in the past 60 years since the founding of the People＇ s Republic of China. Based on a survey of publications in FLT in the past 60 years, the authors point out that FLT in China has made remarkable achievements in terms of both research contents and methods. However, FLT research in China has rarely addressed important policy issues regarding foreign language teaching and has failed to meet the needs of FLT practice in China. Future research should be centered on foreign language policies, individual differences of learners, teacher development, curriculum processes, teaching evaluation, etc.
