汤姆·斯托帕德是二战后期英国最著名的剧作家,被认为是荒诞派戏剧的后起之秀。在传承前人优秀技巧的同时,他又融会贯通,形成了自己的独特风格。本文将从"戏仿","反讽"和"戏中戏"等角度,来分析《罗森格兰兹和吉尔登斯坦死了》一剧,由此揭示斯托帕德早期的戏剧艺术。
Tom Stoppard is one of the most important dramatists in Great Britain after World War II.He was widely accepted as the rising star promoting absurd drama.Inheriting from his predecessors, he created his own styles.This article aims at revealing his dramatic art in early period by analyzing Rosencrantz Guilderstein Are Dead in the perspective of irony, parody and the play within the play.
