１９９６年—１９９７年每年的１月—１０月，对山西省蟒河自然保护区的雉类进行了调查，结果为该区计有雉类５种，其中石鸡（Ａｌｅｃｔｏｒｉｓｇｒａｅｃａ）、勺鸡（Ｐｕｃｒａｓｉａｍａｃｒｏｌｏｐｈａ）、雉鸡（Ｐｈａｓｉａｎｕｓｃｏｌｃｈｉｃｕｓ）为当地留鸟，每年４月—７月繁殖；鹌鹑（Ｃｏ－ｔｕｒｎｉｘｃｏｔｕｒｎｉｘ）和斑翅山鹑（Ｐｅｒｄｉｘｄａｕｕｒｉｃａｅ）为该地区冬候鸟。
From January to October, 1996 and 1997, species and population density and breeding habits of pheasant in Shanxi Manghe nature reserve were investigated. The results showed that there were 5 species of pheasant in this area. Alectoris graeca、Pucrasia macrolopha, and phasianus colchicus are breeding birds in this area, the breeding period from April to July. Coturnix coturnix and Perdix dauuricae are winter birds in this area.
