The general design method and principle of connecting rod for great power diesel engine have been introduced. Depending on the comprehensive analysi s of the static and dynamic stress,the key problem of connecting rod for diesel engine has been interpreted. A practical design mean of connecting rod for great power diesel engine has been put forward.
