摘要 2004年4月20日下午3:30,新加坡地铁环线C824标段的一段明挖区间隧道在开挖至第10道支撑(约33m深度)的时候出现了坍塌事故。事故造成了约100m左右区间隧道围护体系的彻底崩溃,4人死亡,紧邻的Nicoll大道下陷,以及周边一些城市生命管线严重损毁。文章对这次事故的工程背景、地质条件以及事故发生的过程进行了扼要介绍,旨在为本文的姊妹篇——新加坡地铁环线C824标段失事原因分析(二~三)提供必要的基础信息,以期与她们一起形成一份完整的事故分析报告。 At approximately 3:30pm on 20th April 2004, the 33m-deep excavation collapsed when reaching the 10th strut level of the cut and cover tunnel in C824 tender section of Singapore MRT. This collapse claimed 4 lives and resulted in the loss of some 100 meters length of braced excavation, some utilities including pipe lines and 66kV cable were damaged severely. To provide the basic information for her subsequent sister papers part II and III, and to present a comprehensive causation analysis report by the combination of these three papers, the background of the project, geological conditions and process of the incident are summarized in this paper.
