The author discusses the reason why glass fiber industry has selected platinum/rhodium alloy for fiber making, describes the reserve, quality and uses of platinum and rhodium metals, analyzes the price changes of these metals for years, and proposes some tactics for the glass fiber industry to address the price fluctuation of these metals.
