摘要
本文说明传统市内电话网使用通路交换的现状后 ,强调近年数据通信、Internet陆地移动通信和有线电视广播的急剧发展带来的冲击。建议市话网注意适应信息业务新形势 ,考虑市话网与分组数据网、Internet、蜂窝网和CATV等各种通信网的融合。
The paper begins with describing the present status of local telephone network using channel switching. Then, it points out the rapid growth of data communication and the Internet traffic, both of which causing serious impact to the local telephone network. The paper also mentions the rapid growth of the public land mobile communicaiton and the cable television broadcasting services. It suggests that the local telephone netwok to adapt effectively with such new situation of information services, and to consider carefully the convergence and collaboration between the local telephone network, packet data network, Internet, cellular network, and CATV network.
