摘要
将Jacquin基本的自动分形图像编码方法与方块编码(BTC)方法结合起来,研究一种新的图像编码方法。并针对气象卫星云图的特征,设计卫星云图的数据压缩方案,实验结果表明,在保证重建云图质量的前提下,与基本的自动分形图像编码方法相比,编码时间和压缩比有显著改善。
This paper presents a new image compression and decompression method which combines the Block Truncation Coding technique with the Jacquin's basic automatic fractal image coding technique. A coding scheme has been designed for compression of meteorological satellite cloud pictures in the light of the characteristics of satellite imagery data. Experimental results show that the new scheme, as compared with the basic automatic fractal image coding scheme, leads to less computation time and higher compression ratio without apparent depression in quality of the reconstructed image.
