Production of the metallurgical grade Silicon and solar grade Silicon is introduced. The paper discusses chemical reactions that take place during processing, and shows how to remove impurities by means ofthe induction furnaces, as well as introduces the production methods of single crystal ingots and multicrystalline ingots.
