介绍了虚拟现实技术的概念、特征、发展历史和国内外发展现状；给出了虚拟现实系统的类型和组成，重点阐述了沉浸式虚拟现实系统的组成及相关技术；最后介绍了虚拟现实现有和潜在的应用领域．
First, introduced the concept, feature and historical development of Virtual Reality, parented the present situation of VR technology. Then described the types and composition of VR system and related technology, especically immersive VR system.Last, discussed existing and potential applications of VR technology.
