摘要
居住问题是人类永恒的主题。为广大居民提供良好的居住环境是国家关心的头等大事。从住区环境、住宅功能、工程质量、科技含量四方面介绍了我国城镇住宅建筑的成就与差距，从小区规划、住宅设计、施工组织、科技开发四方面对提高住宅建筑功能质量提出了发展措施，最后为达到新世纪小康居住目标提出了对策与建议。
The problem about residence is an eternal subject of the humanity. Supplying high quality residential environment for the resident is the most important affair that the government is concerned. The paper introduces the achievement and shortcoming of the house construction in china′s cities and towns in terms of the environment of residential area, the function of residence, the quality of the projects, the content of science and technology, and the paper raises the developing measures of improving functional quality of residential architecture from four aspects. Finally, the author offers his opinions for achieving the aim of moderately well off residence of new century.
