摘要
对胡庚申教授的论文《适应与选择:翻译过程新解》提出一些商榷意见,主要探讨翻译生态环境、翻译过程、翻译基本法则等核心概念,对达尔文生物进化论在翻译研究中的适用性提出了质疑,呼吁在翻译活动中超越"自然选择"、促进"文化多元"。
In response to Professor HU Geng shen＇ s paper ＂Interpreting Translation Process from the Perspective of Adaptation and Selection,＂ this article takes issue with some key concepts and ideas in Hu＇ s argument, such as translational eco -environment, translation process, natural selection, survival of the fittest. Based on the detailed analysis of these concepts and ideas, this paper concludes that Darwinian principle of Natural Selection is not directly applicable in translation studies. As a counter measure for the negative influence of Natural Selection Principle in translation studies, the authors call for the devotion of translators to the cause of ＂cultural pluralism＂.
