摘要
最近从云南省采集的吸虱标本中鉴定出一新种。记述如下。量度为毫米,括弧内为平均值。大齿鼠多板虱Polyplax dacnomydi Chin,新种 鉴别特征 近似附突多板虱Polyplax insulsa Ferris和亚洲多板虱Polyplax asiaticaFerris。侧背片Ⅱ及Ⅲ均有一根刚毛甚长。后腿跗节亦具小突如跗突多板虱。腹节Ⅳ-Ⅵ,在跗突多板虱,雌雄性均具背片;在亚洲多板虱则仅雄虫具背片。但在大齿鼠多板虱,则雌、雄虫腹节Ⅳ一Ⅵ均无硬化片;其侧背片无侧后角,呈圆弧形。
Dr. Xie Baoqi of the Research Institute of Epidemic Diseases of Yunnan sent me some specimens of louse collected off the newly discovered big toothed rat, Dacnomys millardi Thomas and then Miss Qiu Xueli collected a few more from the same pelt.These specimens were found to be a new species of the genus Polyplax and named Polyplax decnomydis after its host. Its paratergites are similar to those of Poplyplax insulsa Ferris and P asiatica Ferris by having the dorsal of the two setae of paratergites Ⅰ and Ⅱ very long and the setae of pt Ⅳ-Ⅵ stout and short, shorter than the paratergites bearing them The setae of paratergites Ⅶ and Ⅷ are normal. All the paratergites are more degenerated than those of the other two species, without prolonged apical angles. The tergkes and sternites of the normal abdominal segments of both sexes are missing in the new species,while in P.insulsa there are tergites in both male and female, and in P. asiatica tergites are present only in male. Furthermore, there is a small protuberance on the third tarsus similar to that of P. insulsa, which is lacking in P. asiatica
