An important feature of African American Literature is ＂negritude＂. Zora Neale Hurston, mother of African American Literature, experienced the whole process of the renaissance of black literature, and she is a forerunner advocating and praising black culture. She fused many black folk factors and specific black English, enabling her work characteristic of artistic inspiration and negritude.
