摘要
爱国主义精神是激励全国人民团结奋斗的伟大旗帜,是中华民族发展壮大的强大精神动力。要准确把握爱国主义精神的科学内涵,必须厘清爱国、爱国主义、爱国主义精神这三个不同的概念。在当代中国,弘扬和培育爱国主义精神是高举中国特色社会主义伟大旗帜的需要,是全面建设小康社会的需要,是应对经济全球化挑战的需要,是努力造就高素质人才的需要。
Patriotism is a banner of inspiration and a strong spiritual motivation for the national unity of Chinese people in their struggle for growth and development. To understand the scientific connotation of patriotism, it is imperative for us to clarify what love for one＇s motherland means and what patriotism, as well as the spirit of patriotism, implies. In modern China,to cultivate and promote the spirit of patriotism is the need of our perseverance of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the need of our all-round building of a moderately prosperous society, the need of our addressing the challenge of economic globalization, and the need of our cultivation of personnel with high qualities.
