摘要
"实事求是"含有一体两面。"一体",就是指以"实事"为本体,就是指通过人的实践活动而使得事物本真面貌得以显现出来这样的一个过程。"两面"主要是就"求是"而言的,包括政治层面与学术层面。政治层面的实事求是具有明确的立场与政治倾向性,主要是寻求政治上的"正确性"。学术层面的实事求是强调非倾向性与价值中立,这又分为两派:实事考证派寻求获得具体的"这一个",理论阐释派寻求贯通的"规律性"。
The term ＂seeking truth from facts＂ contains one body and two aspects. One body refers to basing our study on the facts which requires us to reveal the reality of the objects through practice. While, two aspects should be construed as the ways to seek the truth, which include both the political ways and the academic ways. As far as the political aspect of this proposition is concerned, it features a clear-cut political stance and propensity on which a correct and valid political orientation is required. While, in terms of the inclination and the value orientation, the academic aspect of this proposition tends to be more detached and neutral. It can be divided into two schools：the positivistic school which insists on finding out the exact facts and the theoretical school which chooses to find out the general laws and rules of things.
