摘要
本文结合以ＡＴＭ为基础的无源光网络（ＡＰＯＮ）的最新进展，系统介绍ＡＰＯＮ的通用结构、主要业务、光网络要求（包括物理层和传输会聚层要求及测距方法）以及传输性能要求，同时，也探讨了存在的某些问题和可能的解决方法。
Associated with the latest advance of ATM based passive optical network(APON),this paper describes a APON's generic architecture,main services,requirements of optical network (including requirements for physical layer and transmission convergence layer and ranging method) and transmission performance requirements.Some existing problems and possible solutions are also presented.
