Models and Strategies for Building University Institutional Repository in China

摘要 对国际上IR建设的主要模式——自上而下模式和自下而上模式进行了分析和比较,并论证了我国大学IR的规划和建设宜选择自上而下模式的理由,并对这种模式下IR建设流程和关键环节进行了分析和讨论。 The paper first gives an analysis and comparison of two main building models of institutional repository, which are top- down model and bottom- up model. Then discusses reasons why top -town model should be selected for planning and building college institutional repository in China. Also the guiding strategies and main steps for implementing a college IR involved in top -clown model are presented.
