摘要
根据野外调查和测年资料，认为晋西北地区土地沙漠化问题，至少在有史记载以前的晚更新世末期（即27000～10000aBP）就已断续存在。现代土地沙漠化过程是自然环境特别是干旱多风的气候因素起控制作用，而人类不合理的经济活动对沙漠化的发生与发展也起着重要的作用。并讨论了区域沙漠化对农业可持续发展的危害和土地沙漠化防治对策。
Land desertification is one of the most serious global problems nowadays, it is not only a kind of natural hazard but also a serious problem of ecological environment, and limits the social and economic development. The land desertification processes in the nothwest of Shanxi Province is analyzed according to the field investigation and the chronological data. The studyresults show that some ancient aeolian sand dePOsit in Malan Loess Layer is mainly composed by finesand and super finesand.The age dated by fossil ice wedges shows that the ancient aeolian sand deposited during a period of 27Ka～10Ka BP. The analysis of sporo-pollen in fossil ice wedges shows that the climate at that time was rather cold, dry and windy, and the bioclimatic zones shifted from the desert steppe to dry steppe in this area. For this reason, it is considered that the processes of land desertification occurred or developed in this area in the Quaternary geological stages, especially occurred in the last Quaternary glacial period. The study also shows that the contemprorary processes of land desertification in this area are mainly caused and controlled by fragile ecological-condition (such as loose surface material composition and climatic condition), and partially induced by rapid POpulation growth and human's irrational economicactivities. In addition, the negative effects of land desertification on society and sustainable development of agriculture are discussed. At the same time, a problem of the development trends of land desertification under global climatic warming condition is preliminarily discussed. As a result, land desertification in the future will be expanded in the nothwest of Shanxi Province.Finally, some countermeasures for controlling land desertification are also put forward in thepaper.
