摘要
《接骨师的女儿》是美国著名华裔作家谭恩美继《喜福会》之后的又一部力作。该作品再次关注母女主题,说明了无论是母亲还是女儿都处于种族"他者"和性别"他者"的地位,因而她们都感受着处于两种文化之间的困惑和两个世界之外的迷茫。接受中美两种文化不仅使得她们双重的文化身份得以确立,而且有效地消解了东方主义意识形态。
After The Joy Luck Club, The Bonesetter＇s Daughter is Amy Tan＇s another famous novel, which is once again concerned about the mother -daughter relationship. The novel shows whether a woman is a mother or a daughter, she is always in the position of ＂other＂ in terns of race and sex and therefore, both of them can feel the predicament between the two cultures and confusion beyond the two worlds. The acceptance of the two cultures of America and China can not only establish their dual cultural identities but effectively eradicate the Oriental ideology.
