摘要
Banting奖是美国糖尿病协会的最高科学成就奖。2009年Banting奖授予了现任美国丹佛Barbara Davis儿童糖尿病中心执行主任George Eisenbarth教授。他在Banting奖报告中从临床研究及动物模型方面，围绕1型糖尿病的病程发展规律、可能的致病机制、预防进展及今后的研究方向作了深入浅出的精彩演讲。
The Banting Medal for Scientific Achievement Award is the ADA＇s highest scientific award. Dr. Eisenbath received the Banting medal and presented his lecture in 69th ADA scientific session in 2009. He introduced the progress for latest clinical trails and NOD mice study in type 1 diabetes （T1DM）. His lecture focused on the natural history staging T1DM, the trimolecular complex in NOD mice, the prediction and prevention, and the future direction for T1DM research.
