摘要 H.264/AVC中基于块的运动估计是运算量最大的模块。提出了一种基于UMHexagonS的改进整像素快速运动估计算法,该算法改进了UMHexagonS的搜索模板和搜索层,较大幅度减少了整像素运动估计搜索的点数,提高了运动估计效率。实验结果表明,在保持大致一样的率失真性能前提下,算法比UMHexagonS算法减少了20%的搜索点数,更适于实时视频编码。 Block based motion estimation(ME) is the most time-consuming component in an H. 264 video encoder. An improved integer pel motion estimation algorithm based is proposed on UMHexagonS algorithm to solve the insufficiency of the original algorithm. The algorithm improves the search pattern and search layer of UMHexagonSo These changes reduce search points greatly of the integer pel motion estimation, and enhance the efficience of motion estimation. The experiment resuhs show that the method can reduce more than 20% search points compared to UMHexagonS algorithm with minimal loss in bitrate. The method is more suitable in real-time video encoding.
