摘要
第四届SGA会议选择“科研和找矿在哪里会合？”作为大会主题，这反映了近年来矿床学研究与找矿工作所遇到的一个突出问题：研究者从哪里得到经费？BHP公司的代表从公司的角度对科研与勘探工作的结合问题作了充分论述。本次会议对当代矿床学研究最新进展进行了全面总结，对今后研究的发展方向作了展望。当前及今后矿床学研究的重要方向被总结为如下几个方面：流体在不同环境下对成矿的贡献；生物在不同环境下对成矿的贡献；洋底成矿作用；与矿业有关的环境问题。随着市场经济对科研工作影响程度的加大，现代矿床学研究的出路是更加紧密地与矿产资源勘查工作相结合。
The theme of the 4th SGA meeting is 'Research and Exploration, where do theymeet?'. This reflects a prominent issue widely seen in recent research and exploration activities:where can researchers find their fund? Speaker from BHP elucidated thoroughly, from acompony's view, the relationship between mining companies and researchers. The meeingsummarized the recent progress in economic goology and foresees the perspective of development ofthis area. Major research areas in study of mineral deopits in the near future include (1 )contributions of fluids to ore - forming processes in various environmnts; (2) contribution s oforganic materials to ore - forming processes in various envirotunnts; (3 ) ocean floormineralisations and (4) ore deposit - related environrnental issues. With the ever - increasingimpact of market econorny on academic circle, research on mineral deposits has to be more closelyassociated with mineral exploration activities.
