摘要
《江西省岩石地层》是地矿部“八五”项目《全国地层多重划分对比研究》的子课题。项目组以现代地层学———地层多重划分的理论为指导，以岩石地层单位的划分为依据，对江西近百年来的大量地层资料及４００多个地层名称，进行了全面清理。经筛选，最终共确定江西正式岩石地层单位名称２１９个（含引用外省的少量岩石地层名称），其中群级单位２０个、组级１８１个、段级１８个，包括新建岩石地层单位１５个。
Lithostratigraphy of Jiangxi Province is a research subproject of the Study on Multiple Stratigraphic Classification and Correlation in China in the “eighth-five-year-plan”of the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources. Guided by the theory of modern stratigraphy ( i.e. multiple stratigraphic classification) and based on classification of lithostratigraphic units, the authors have sorted out exhaustively a large amount of stratigraphic data accumulated in Jiangxi in the past one hundred years and more than 400 names of stratigraphic units. Trough screening,219 formal lithostratigraphicunits have been established including 20 Groupd,181 Formations and 18 members,in which some units form other provinces and 15 units are new establishments .
