摘要
从被严复提出之后,"信、达、雅"的翻译标准虽不断被质疑,但它对各种英语文体的翻译都具有指导意义。商务英语是以国际经贸为背景的应用性英语,是贸易过程中人们从事交流和经贸活动时所使用的语言,其文体较为正式,语言有明显的行业特征。本文以商务英语翻译为例,提出了翻译商务英语的原则是忠实和准确。
After being put forward by Yan Fu, the translation criteria of ＂faithfulness, expressiveness and elegance＂ has been constantly questioned, however, it serves as a guide for the translation of different styles of English. Business English, the language people use in communicating and doing business, is the practical English in the background of international commerce and trade. The style of business English tends to be formal with obvious characteristics of each profession. This thesis advances that the principle of business English translation would be faithfulness and accuracy by means of offering some business English translation examples.
