摘要
姓氏历来被认为是社会结构的表象之一,它与历史、文化有着十分紧密的联系。姓氏的发展变化在一定程度上反映了社会文化的变迁。英汉姓氏的起源和发展各自不同,但又具有相似处,因此体现出各自不同的文化特点。文章试从汉英姓氏的各自特点出发,探寻中西文化的异同之处。
Family names, with its close association with history and culture, have always been recognized as a representation of social structures. The development and changing of family names can in some way reflect the shifts of society and culture. English and Chinese family names have different origins and development paths, but they still share similarities, reflecting their respective cultural features. This paper is intended to probe into the differences and similarities between Chinese and Western cultures based on the distinctive features of Chinese and English family names.
