摘要
中国美食享誉世界,而中国饮食文化也就自然成了很多外国友人了解中国传统文化的窗口。中餐菜名的英译应当能够清楚传递菜肴的原料、味道甚至其所蕴藏的文化内涵等信息。文章试着从翻译的标准及方法两方面对中餐菜名的英译做一些探讨。
The delicious Chinese food is very famous all over the world, as a result, Chinese diet culture naturally becomes the window, from which many foreign friends can know traditional Chinese culture. The English translation of Chinese dishes should convey clearly the raw materials, the taste, even the special cultural connotation of dishes. This paper attempts to make some disussion on the English translation of Chinese food from the criteria and methods of translation.
