宋末元初遗民刘辰翁是辛派词人后期的代表人物,其元宵词为宋代词人之冠。他的元宵词超越了宋代节序词佳人伤春和男士悲秋的传统,具有深厚的文化积淀,隐含了深沉的寄托,深刻地反映出宋元易代之际的时代风貌和遗民心理,在词史上具有较高的认识价值。
Liu Chenweng was a famous writer at the turn of the Song and Yuan Dynastes. His Yuanxiao Ci （Ci-Poems on the Lantern Festival） surmounts the traditions of the Ci form of the Song Dynasty and has profound meaning and cultural connotation. Meanwhile it reflects the time features and psychology of old fogies. Therefore, his Yuanxiao Ci has valuable meaning in the Ci history.
