The literatures on CDROM retrieval published in China in 1990s are analyzed.The problems such as the introduction of CDROM retrieval system by China from abroad,the development and utilization of CDROM retrieval system,the strategies for CDROM retrieval and the comparison between CDROM retrieval and the other retrieval means are discussed.
