摘要
立足现有的单极化雷达,通过充分利用天线极化在空间并非一成不变而是空域指向的函数这一固有属性(简称"天线的空域极化特性"),提出了一种目标极化散射矩阵(PSM)测量的新方法。该方法无需两个极化通道,仅通过利用天线的空域极化特性以及对雷达接收回波进行处理,完成目标的PSM测量。首先分析了均匀矩形口径天线的空域极化特性;在此基础上,通过对天线扫描过程中多个接收回波的空域处理,导出了雷达目标PSM的估计方法,并详细分析了其估计性能;最后进行了计算机仿真,实验结果验证了算法的有效性。
Based on the available single polarization radar, a novel polarimetric scattering matrix measurement method is pro- posed by sufficiently utilizing the inherent polarization attribute of antenna which is not constant but a function of antenna' s spatial ori- ented direction. This characteristics of antenna is called the antenna' s spatial polarization characteristics. Two orthogonal polarization channel is needn' t in this method. Just by using the spatial polarization characteristics of antenna and signal processing of received ra- dar echo, the PSM of target can be achieved. Firstly, the spatial polarization characteristics of rectangular aperture antenna is analyzed. Then, by the signal processing of received radar echo, the estimation method of radar target' s PSM is derived and the estimation per- formance is analyzed detailedly. Finally, the computer simulation experimental results verify the validity of this algorithm.
